Wainscoting Panels – Stone, Brick & Wood Faux Wall Panels
Trusted experts in the field of polymer-based building materials for over three decades, Texture Plus® is a leading business serving contractors, homeowners and corporate customers in multiple industries around the globe.
Why Use Wainscoting Panels?
Wainscoting, also known as wainscot, was traditionally used to cover the lower part of interior and exterior walls to provide better insulation and protect from scuffs and damage.
Today, wainscot paneling enhances the look of any wall through a perfect blend of form and function:
- Adds texture, color, and contrast to plain walls
- Creates a sense of depth, warmth or style to rooms
- Protects high traffic areas like entryways, hallways and dining areas
- Covers existing damage without needing to panel the entire wall
Material Options for Wainscoting Panels
The materials that will work best for your project depend largely on location. Wood wainscoting panels will work better for interior rooms, while exterior walls will likely need stone or brick wainscoting for durability. Beyond looks, there are additional considerations like weather resistance and cost.

How to Calculate the Estimated Number of Faux Wall Panels You Need for Your Project
Before you get started, you’ll need to have an idea of how many faux wall panels your wainscoting project will need.
Unlike top to bottom wall paneling, wainscoting typically covers only the bottom half or one-third of a wall. Determine how high you want your wainscoting to be (in feet). Then, multiply by the width of each wall to be paneled.
Wainscoting Faux Wall Panel Costs
Once you have the dimensions of your project area and an idea of the number of faux wainscoting wall panels you need, you can determine the cost of your project.
