Q: What size are your faux panels?

A: Texture Plus® faux panels are an average of 2' x 4'. Many designs are available in our interlocking style which allows you to seamlessly cover an unlimited area.

Q: How thick is your simulated siding?

A: Texture Plus® simulated siding is an average of 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch thick depending upon the design.

Q: How much does each faux stone panel weigh?

A: The faux stone panels weigh approximately 5lbs apiece.

Q: How many faux panels come in a pallet?

A: There are 120 faux panels of Texture Plus® in each pallet.

Q: How many faux panels does Texture Plus® offer?

A: Texture Plus® offers simulated siding in over 95 designs of brick veneer, faux stone, wood wall paneling, and bamboo siding..

Q: What faux designs does Texture Plus® sell corner pieces in?

A: Texture Plus® currently sells corner pieces in both fake brick & simulated stone siding designs. Additionally, Texture Plus® now offers a 4' long corner in a limestone texture in a variety of colors to coordinate with our faux panels.

Q: Is there any benefit to the caulk & adhesive sold by Texture Plus®?

A: The benefit of buying our caulk is that it is perfectly color matched to our faux panels and only available through Texture Plus®.

Q: Does Texture Plus®  have fire-rated faux panels?

A: Yes, Texture Plus® sells both fire-rated simulated siding and non fire-rated simulated siding . The fire-rated faux panels are certified with an ASTM E84 Class-A rating (certification information is available upon request). Side note: Boeing uses the same material on their aircraft.

Q: Can I use Texture Plus®  fire-rated faux panels outside or in wet environments?

A: No, although our non-firerated faux panels are water proof, our fire-rated faux panels are not suitable for outdoors or wet environments. Contact us at 1.800.863.8468 for more details.

Q: Does Texture Plus®  offer a warranty?

A: At Texture Plus®, we stand behind our faux panels. Texture Plus® has been in business for over 27 years perfecting our process and materials, and our faux panel line has evolved over the years to keep pace with the needs of our customers. Texture Plus® is in its fifth year and our product is installed in extreme climates such as Alaska and the Caribbean. Our faux panels are backed by a 15-year limited warranty.

Q: Are the faux panels safe for my child to be around? Are the faux panels toxic?

A: Texture Plus® is completely safe for both children and adults. There are no Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) with our simulated siding .

Basic Interlock Information

Q: How many of the faux panels interlock?

A: We currently have 21 of our faux panels available in the interlock design.

Q: What is the benefit of buying interlocking faux panels?

A: The benefit to using our interlocking faux panels is that they give you a totally seamless look.

Q: Why don't all of your faux panels interlock?

A: Not all of our faux panels call for interlocking. For instance, in nature, slate is a slab; so using an interlocking design would lessen the realistic appearance. The standard simulated siding allows you to create your own design.

Where and How Can I Use Texture Plus ® Faux Panels

Q: Can Texture Plus® faux panels be used outdoors as well as indoors?

A: Absolutely, Texture Plus® uses a high-density polymer to make our simulated stone siding, brick veneer siding, and wood paneling, making them impervious to water damage, insect damage and all types of weather. Texture Plus® then finishes the faux panels with an extremely durable UV resistant clear coat to completely ensure that our faux panels are versatile enough for either in or outdoor use.

Q: Are Texture Plus® faux panels safe in the kitchen and as a backsplash?

A: Texture Plus® faux panels are safe to use in the kitchen. Simply use a mild soap to clean it rather than harsh sprays and degreasers.

Q: If I was to install the faux panels in my basement, which can be damp, will it ruin or lessen the life expectancy of the product?

A: Installing our faux panels in a basement will not ruin or lessen the life expectancy. There is virtually no absorption, which is why Texture Plus® can offer our simulated siding for indoor or outdoor use. Our do-it-yourself siding has had thorough humidity, weather & water immersion testing.

Q: Can I use your faux panels in a pond or pool, or run a waterfall over it?

A: In all cases the material is waterproof, but it was not made for that purpose therefore there is no warranty for that use. Different areas have different chemicals in their water. Substances like chlorine and other minerals may damage the finish of the simulated siding. Texture Plus® suggests ordering a free sample and testing it out first.

Q: Can I use your faux panels as flooring?

A: Texture Plus® fauxl panels have not been designed to use as flooring. It is perfect for a display, but we don't recommend it for everyday foot traffic. A sharp heel might scratch the panel and coating.

Q: Are the non fire-rated faux panels safe to use around a fireplace?

A: Texture Plus®  recommends the fire-rated faux panels when the product is being installed anywhere near extreme heat. The non fire-rated faux panels have a flash point of over 600deg Fh (over 315deg Cel). Our fire-rated faux panels have an ASTM E-84 Class A rating & we provide certification upon request.

Customizing Texture Plus® Faux Panels to Meet Your Needs

Q: Can I repaint Texture Plus® faux panels?

A: Texture Plus® does offer simulated siding primed, without color. Just request a blank sample and test your custom color. Please be aware however, that any coloring put on the faux panel is not covered by our warranty.

Q: What type of paint can I use when repainting Texture Plus® faux panels?

A: Texture Plus®  recommends using water-based, acrylic paint when repainting faux panels.

Q: Do you offer custom colors?

A: Yes, Texture Plus®  gladly offers custom colors for orders above 50 faux panels at $325 per color match.

Q: Can I get a faux panel half in one color and half in another?

A: No, Texture Plus®  cannot divide a faux panel into 2 separate colors.

Tips for Installing Texture Plus® Faux Panels

Q: Can I work with standard tools on Texture Plus® faux panels?

A: Yes! You can cut, route, drill and fasten Texture Plus® faux panels with ordinary woodworking tools for use by the novice or master.

Q: What tools do I need to install faux panels?

A: Texture Plus® faux panels are easily installed using tools found in almost everyone's toolbox. To complete a wall, we recommend using:

Q: Will the faux panels slide right in together?

A: It is possible that there may be some high-points that need sanding. This can be fixed easily just by going over the area with a sanding block.

Q: How do I cover corners with Texture Plus® faux panels?

A: In most cases when rounding a corner, the edges of the faux panels are first cut into 245-degree angles. Click here for step-by-step instructions on how to miter a corner using both our interlocking and standard do-it-yourself siding.

Q: Can I use one faux panel on the top of my wall & a second faux panel on the bottom? Will they match up or will I need to use molding?

A: Using two Texture Plus® faux designs is an excellent way to give visual contrast to a wall! Whether or not you'll want to use molding will depend upon the two designs you choose, you can use molding or you may like it without.

Q: When installing the faux panels, if I drill the screws in wrong will the faux panel crack?

A: If you drill screws in wrong when installing simulated stone siding, it will not crack. That's the real benefit of working with Texture Plus® faux panels! Since our simulated siding is plastic and not wood, there is no splintering or flaking, and unlike real stone or slate our faux stone panels will not crack, you just get just clean lines.

Q: Can I hang pictures on the faux panels?

A: Yes, you can hang pictures on the faux panels, if the Texture Plus® faux panels have been properly installed using mechanical screws. If you choose to install faux panels directly on studs, we recommend bringing stud spacing closer than the normal 16".

Storing Texture Plus® Faux Panels

Q: How do I store Texture Plus® faux panels?

A: We suggest storing faux panels flat on a surface in order to avoid bowing. If the simulated siding is stored in an upright position and do bow, lay them flat and they will self-correct.

Q: What temperature should I store Texture Plus®. faux panels?

A: Texture Plus® faux panels should be stored at room temperature or cooler. If the faux panels are stored at this range of temperature, they will be ready for immediate use even in cold weather.

Q: How long does it take Texture Plus® to fill an order?

A: It normally takes between 7 & 10 business days, depending upon the size of your order and the design. Every order is color-matched & QA checked before shipping. Certain products take longer because of the production methods.

Q: Can Texture Plus® fill my order faster?

A: For an additional charge, Texture Plus® can have your order overnighted or sent 2nd day air.

Q: Is there a minimum amount to buy?

A: Texture Plus® does not require you to purchase a minimum amount of faux panels to place an order.

Q: If I buy blank faux panels (no color) from Texture Plus®  is it cheaper?

A: Since we still have to go through all of the production processes to make the simulated stone siding, Texture Plus® does not discount blank faux panels.

Q: Why can't I get a larger size than 2' x 4'?

A: Texture Plus® fake brick, stone siding, bamboo siding and wood wall panels are designed in the 2' X 4' size to allow for ease of shipping and ease of your handling. All faux panels will line up when laid out next to each other to minimize any seams, and in most cases, the seams will visually disappear like wallpaper or paneling.

Q: Can I return the product if I don't like it?

A: You have 30 days to return our faux panels if you are not 100% satisfied, but you will be charged a 30% restocking fee. You can always order a free sample to make sure our faux panels will meet the needs of your project.
